South Edinburgh Carnival Day by Julie Duff
I've only actually been writing for three years, courtesy of Mhairi Gilfillan at the Summer School 1998, based at Liberton High School. I thoroughly enjoyed that then, but more so now when I got the opportunity to see my work coming to life.
   This year, the first three scenes of my play were acted out at Gracemount Carnival. It was a wonderful sense of achievement. If there's anyone out there with a burning artistic ambition, GO FOR IT. YOUR COMMUNITY NEEDS YOU!!
