My Story in ABE


I started ABE in 1986. I went to Riddle's Court up in room seven. My tutor was Val Smith. Val helped me in reading and writing but Val left and a new tutor came. If I was writing something but I could not spell the word or understand it Iasked for help. I moved to the Resource Centre and got a new tutor. Her name was Dorothy Baird. It was still in Riddle's Court on Monday night.

I like to be independent in my writing and reading, spelling but I still asked for help if I neeeded it. I have written short stories, letters, filled in housing appliction forms and I was doing a child care course but it was difficult. I was also a member of the Student Association for six years till the end.

I like doing short courses like writing and on computers and also IT Computers for SQA. Our class did a magazine. It was called 'The Magnificent Monday Night Stories'. It will be the last one.
