Jack Eye Files: Mystery of a Cruise Liner

I started to read one of the unexplained files. It was about a cruise liner and the mysterious murders on board. Captain Thomson asked me to go a head and investigate it.
    I got to the Cruise liner and met Captain Tom Jackson. One of his officers showed me the haunted cabin. The officer said, "The passengers and staff will not come down here". I looked at the hallway and the cabins. It was cold, dark and eerie. I looked at him, he was frightened. The officer put the bags into the cabin next to the haunted ones. At the captain's cabin, Captain Jackson gave me some notes and the log books from ten years ago. I said, "I will look at them later" There was a knock at the door. The captain said, "Come in". It was John and Alice. I got up and handed the files to them. John said, "The equipment is in the cabin".
    John and Alice started to put the equipment up. Two hours later it was up and running. I put some sensor cables around the wall, floor and to the ceiling. I stopped and looked up. I saw something staring at me. It had evil green eyes and sharp teeth with flesh hanging from them. The creature was about to jump, but John and Alice came out to the hallway and saw it. They shouted. The hall light was too powerful for it. The creature had disappeared into one of the cabins.
    Two hours later we sat at Captain Jackson's table. I was talking to him about the logs, the missing captain and those who worked on the cruise liner. John asked him about the haunted cabins. Two passengers got near to one of the cabins. They heard a door opening behind them. The creature jumped on one of them. It ripped his head and arms off. Blood was all over the hallway and the other passenger.
    One of his officers came and gave him a note. He looked at it and passed the note to me. It said, "A victim has been found by the cabins and the other passenger is in sick bay". Alice got up and went to sick bay to help. John and I went with the captain back to the cabin to check the computer. On the computer monitor we saw the creature eating the passenger. The captain noticed something about the creature. In the captain's cabin he was looking for the files of the four ex-captains who worked on board. Captain Jackson used the intercom. "At 2300 hours a staff meeting will be held at the mess hall. End of message". I looked at the captain and said, "It must be one of the crew members".
    John was reading the logs and files for the past ten years for clues, but no luck. Alice came in, she noticed something on the computer monitor. She screamed. John turned around to see. The thing had vanished on the monitor. Alice described what she saw. It had evil green eyes. John walked out to look around. He heard something in one of the cabins. He asked her to bring a torch out. He shone it around the corner. "I am going in", John said. He got near to the cabin where the noise was coming from. Alice said, "Don't go in, I'm frightened and it's getting cold out here". Suddenly something jumped out at him. He was thrown against the wall. His torch fell to the floor. Alice picked it up and shone it at the creature's face. He fell to the floor, he was hurt. I was coming to see what had happened. Alice told me about it. John was taken to sick bay. The creature had disappeared in one of the cabins.
    It was 2300 hours at the mess hall. The meeting was about to start. All the staff were there. Captain Johnson came in with me and Alice. He welcomed the crew. The captain said, "A storm is on its way. Try to keep the passengers happy. You all know the strange thing on board, one the passengers is dead and the other is badly hurt". He introduced me to the crew. I said, "I will talk about what I do in the police force and show you a movie". Alice started the movie. Twenty minutes had passed. I was still talking about the film. I noticed something out of the corner of my mysterious glass eye. It was glowing and it had greenish eyes. I asked the captain to come over. Things got out of hand. Alice managed to get the light on. The mess door was forced open. The captain fired his gun at the thing and hit it. Some of the crew got hurt. One was dead because he was in the way. I saw green stuff on the floor, it looked like the blood of the creature. I used my penknife to pick up the green stuff. I put it in a small tin. My penknife fell apart. I noticed a badge in the stuff. I wiped it with my handkerchief and showed it to the captain. He recognized the name on it.
    John got out of sick bay. He went back to the cabin to work. He had just sat down when something ran past the cabin. John came out. He heard groaning in one of the cabins. He picked up the C.B to call me. He noticed me and the captain coming around the corner with Alice behind us. The creature ran out of the cabin and tried to attack us. The captain and I fired our guns at it. Both of us fired again till we hit the thing. The creature fell towards the light.
    Alice looked down at the thing. We all saw it turn into a half man and half creature. "It's the missing captain", said the captain. Alice said, "I looked at the badge, it has Harry Stone on it". "It's my first officer he should be on the bridge", the captain said. The captain called on the intercom to the bridge. Someone answered and said, "He is not here, but the hurricane is on top of us sir. He could be anywhere by now ". We put out a search for him around the ship. I will get security to catch him but not to kill him.
    The hurricane was getting very heavy and the cruise ship was rocking up and down. The rain and waves were crashing down on to the top deck.
    The captain and I got to the bridge. We told the security to take guns with them, to search the ship from top to bottom. So we started the search. On one of the decks we heard a loud screaming coming from one the cabins. We went outside the cabin. The captain used his radio to call for security to come quick. The door was half open, it was dark. In the corner of the room someone was crying I tried to put the light on, but it wouldn't work. I shone my torch into the corner where the crying was. It was two young girls. I saw two legs covered with blood. We all got our guns ready to go in. One of the security men kicked the door in. We put our torches on and shone them around the room. In the other corner something jumped at us. It jumped out, on to the security men on to the floor. The creature ran into the dark hallway and disappeared. We opened fire but didn't hit it. Two of the security took the young girls to sick bay and the security offiers too. The room was in a mess. I got a call on the CB. It was John. The creature was in the dark cabins. It had started a fire. All of us went to John and Alice. The others tried to put the fire out, but the creature came out. Captain Jackson and I fired our guns. The creature was groaning in the middle of the flames. I took my gun out and fired it at the creature's head.
    The captain said, "Thank God the creatures are dead". The fire was put out. The creature and the cabin were burned. John and Alice went to sick bay to help with the injured. I got to the captain's cabin. He thanked me and my crew for solving the mystery of the cruise liner. The cruise liner got to harbour.
    We started to put all the equipment into the van and my car. We got back to the police station and into my office. I put an end to the case of the mysterious murders on the cruise liner. I filed the case into the solved cabinet.
