Guy Fawkes and his men had too many fireworks. Guy Fawkes was going to blow up
the Houses of Parliament. He had to light the fuse. But he got caught.
The people of London were very scared. They were afraid of fireworks like
squibs falling on their houses.
Parliament made November 5th a holiday.
So every year children make a model of Guy Fawkes to burn on their bonfires.
The bonfires have to be put out. The police walk about to see if there
is any danger.
