CBAL home

An extra mouth to feed

About a month ago my family of 5 grew to a family of 6. Our house is already cramped but thisnew member of our family doesn't take up much space at the moment as he sleeps outside. We also know that he won't fill the house in the future with the scooters and pogo sticks and stilts that we trip over every time we try to reach the front door. That's one good thing about a rabbit.

And, as our baby black and white rabbit has grown more and more tame, I have discovered lots of other good things. He is always so pleased to see us and frisks and jumps when we come near. Sitting stroking him is also very peacful. My daughter puts him on a special lead and takes him for a walk – or a hop – round the garden. Apart from when he tries to tunnel into the grass and digs big holes, he is great. I never expected to become fond of a rabbit. But I have.
